2021 survey launches for Global Legal Tech Report
A group of research partners led by ALTA (Australian Legal Technology Association) have launched the research process for the production of the 2021 Global Legal Tech Report. This follows on from the successful launch of a number of regional reports and a combined global report in 2020.
The team are seeking even greater levels of collaboration and wider reach in the 2021 iteration of the report. Legal Tech companies can take the survey here. The research window closes on Friday 18 February, 2022.
During its inaugural year-long comprehensive study into the sector, the global legal tech industry was found to be a growing and diverse market, essentially composed of heterogeneous regions at various stages of development.
The Global Legal Tech Report saw unprecedented global collaboration, with the research effort supported not only by the biggest legal tech associations around the world but also by 500 legal tech companies from 56 countries sharing data on their technology, resourcing mix, business models, pricing strategies, growth aspirations, and financial performance.
Culminating in the global report released in December, the extensive study into the global tech industry probed into the health, composition, and strategies adopted by the legal tech companies across eight regions.
Stevie Ghiassi, global director for the Global Legal Tech Report, explained his team embarked on a journey to surface more than 4,000 legal tech companies and to survey over 500 of them in detail to produce a unique report all with the ultimate objective to equip changemakers with the best understanding of the tools at their disposal and to provide greater insight into the “business of legal tech.”
The Global Legal Tech Report has seen massive growth and development in its very first year alone, becoming the largest and most comprehensive legal industry survey ever conducted. The extensive report brings together 13 of the peak representative organisations from around the world in close collaboration with the industry’s leading researchers.
“For the first time we are able to reveal data and insights to help guide the decision making of every stakeholder across the entire legal industry, from the builders of legal tech to the users of legal tech and those that are helping to fund and implement it. We hope to build upon this work year after year, informing the next generation of changemakers,” Ghiassi said.
